I've always had a 'dream home' vision in my head, but I never thought it had a remote chance of becoming a reality. Looking back on my life...every success, challenge, heartache, and resolve..has led me to the place where my dream home can actually become a reality. It's very easy to lose faith and wonder why things happen the way they do….but the picture seems to slowly come into focus with each passing hurdle.

I love Pinterest. I love making boards, and collecting ideas, and getting inspired by the works of others.

On days when I feel less productive…..an hour on Pinterest and I feel like I’ve actually accomplished something. Pinterest is a great on line vehicle to shop for inspiration. And it can be for anything from home decor to ideas for dinner.

The only drawback is, I start out looking for kitchen ideas, and fireplace designs...and somehow I end up pinning blueberry cheesecake bars and pasta carbonara with cheesy garlic bread. :)

BUT.....after gaining 25 virtual pounds from Pinterest pastries...I found a home with the perfect architectural feel that I hoped to someday build for myself. I had been looking for a specific exterior construction that would set the tone for the interior feel I wanted to carry through the property.

The property I’m building on has a view that has to be capitalized on, and the wildlife need to feel safe and welcome. I have 9 neighbors in the immediate area, but they are all 5 to 10 acres apart, so the home will be completely private…surrounded with trees….which will allow for lots of windows. After years of ‘pinning’ and dreaming’ and ingesting a few too many blueberry cheesecake bars, there it was.

The roofline was perfect, the windows were breathtaking and it had a little something extra that sealed the deal in my heart.

A slated wood deck off the front ‘great room’ set on concrete ‘risers’ in a concrete water feature so the deck appears to be floating on water with a 4 foot ‘water frame’ around it. The water feature is easily tied into the home water system, and a simple set of steps would allow you to walk from the home to the deck Then you can sit and watch the deer and the moose come up to the property for water and be able to sit and enjoy their company.

Floor to ceiling windows will allow every inch of the stunning view to be enjoyed and compliment what mother nature has already provided.

Mission accomplished.

A new journey is about to begin and it is an honor to have you along for the ride.

Thank you for inspiring me.

Let's do this!!!

What is life…if we don't inspire others to push their boundaries and realize their dreams.

But that’s just my opinion..:)
