When we take on a task, start a project, or take a leap of faith with a new adventure, we generally break it down to a beginning, a middle and an end.

We know there will be a few snags along the way and we feel somewhat prepared for those as well.

And then there are the snags that blindside you and cast a shadow of doubt that what you’re trying to accomplish may in fact never happen. Those are the moments that define the importance of what you are trying to achieve. How bad do you really want it.

Another facet of the adventure is how you personally change as you move through it. Priorities change, perspectives change, and sometimes the people you start out with on the journey fall to the side and wont be there to celebrate at the finish line. There are no accidents….the people that are meant to be in your life will be there. The ones that aren't…wont. We transition in and out of ‘versions’ of ourself as we grow. We don't stay the same because the events we go through reshape us and redefine us to varying degrees.

The relationship we have with ourselves changes over time, which in turn heightens our awareness of who we want along side us. We learn to chose emotionally healthy people that don't drag drama around, people who respect our worth and people who respect themselves.

Then there are the wonderful moments that surprise us. Someone reconnects with you that you have desperately missed, or a windfall opportunity that allows your adventure to become the reality you have wished for.

These things don't happen because you orchestrated them. They happen because powers far greater than you, guide you, reveal truths to you, and reposition you to be in a better place moving forward with people who possess the most honest intentions, and have the kindest of hearts.

When you lean in to those changes and learn to incorporate them moving forward ….your dream of whatever you are trying to accomplish becomes easier.

I’ve had a few ‘ah-ha’ moments recently that explain the challenges that were standing in my way. Everything happens for a reason.

For me it truly solidified my faith. The reason my home has been such a challenge to sell, has nothing to do with the home, and it has nothing to do with the economy. It has everything to do with a much larger piece of the puzzle that I was completely unaware of. God had my back on this one. It will be a beautiful story to tell when the time is right.

So…..on your journey…bless the people who no longer walk with you, treasure the ones that do, and rejoice in the ones who return. Everything is as it’s supposed to be. Even when it feels completely upside down…..its really right side up.

But thats just my opinion…:)
